Higher intensity, sharper execution, and momentum building into game week
Looking for a competitive way to stay active in Johnson City? Practice picked up this week with 10 players focused on passing, body positioning, and applying defensive pressure, with a lot of touch to keep things moving. Intensity was noticeably higher than last week, and feedback from forwards captain Jason backed that up. The group is building toward game week at NRV this Saturday, with a “bring your friends” practice set for Tuesday, April 14.
Johnson City Rugby is pushing forward into 2025 with big goals, both on and off the field. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for strong community partners to help us build something lasting.
This summer, Johnson City Rugby is hosting Wagon Wheel 10’s, a fast-paced 10-a-side tournament featuring men’s and women’s brackets. Teams from across the region will take the field, bringing strong competition and high-energy play. The tournament will take place at: Woodland Elementary 2303 Indian Ridge Rd, Johnson City, TN 37604 Registration is open, and teams are locking in their spots.
